Building Green means Energy Efficiency

Building an energy efficient home starts with a tight, well insulated shell and quality windows and doors. We have had great success with Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF), construction for the ultimate in quiet, comfort and energy savings. We can also achieve excellent results building with conventional framing, with a few modifications and using open cell foam insulation sprayed in place.

Depending on the home's design and the family's lifestyle, we design a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system that will provide the highest comfort level and lowest utility bill. We have extensive experience with a full range of heating and cooling systems including geothermal, radiant floors, heat pumps, high efficiency gas furnaces and air conditioners.

The importance of indoor air quality can not be overstated. We offer and promote the use of ERV's (Energy Recovery Ventilators) to bring in fresh filtered air but not exhaust energy dollars.

Installing high efficiency water heaters, insulated hot water lines and water saving fixtures are vital in keeping the utility bills down, along with a lighting plan that will provide the light you need, where you need it with high efficiency fixtures.

We also offer options for solar design including passive solar, solar hot water and photovoltaic systems.

The result is a home that will require a lot less energy than your neighbors, and you can be comfortable that you are doing your part to reduce carbon emissions.
